What
the heart wants: it wants to remember Allah Subhanahu Wa t'ala. When
Allah is not remembered, the heart goes into a state of agitation, it
goes in a state of turmoil, and it becomes diseased because it is not
being fed. Just as we need to breathe because cells need life-giving
oxygen and if we stop breathing, cells die, similarly, the heart also
needs to breathe, and the breath of the heart is the remembrance of
Allah Subhanahu Wa t'ala."
Shame
before Allah is the part of having proper adab with Allah. Thus, if
you want to have correct behavior (adab) with Allah, then have a sense
that Allah is always watching you so that you feel shameful to do
something that is displeasing to Him..." |
Why we are
in certain losses?
-
Our Knowledge:
Wasted by not taking action with it.
-
Our Actions:
Wasted by committing them without sincerity.
-
Our Wealth:
Wasted by using on things that will not bring us reward from Allah (ajr). We
waste our money, our status, our authority, on things which have no benefit in
this life or in the hereafter (akhirah).
-
Our Hearts:
Wasted because they are empty from the love of Allah (swt) and his Messenger
(saw), and a feeling of peace and contentment. In it's place, our hearts are
filled with something or someone else.
-
Our Bodies:
Wasted because we don't use them in worship (ibadah) and service of Allah.
-
Our Time:
Wasted, not used properly, to compensate for that which has passed, by doing
what is righteous to make up for past deeds.
-
Our Intellect:
Wasted on things that are not beneficial, that are detrimental to society and
the individual, not in contemplation or reflection.
-
Our Service:
Wasted in service of someone who will not bring us closer to Allah, moreover
something that will benefit us in the world (dunya).
-
Our Love: Our
emotional love is misdirected, not towards Allah, but towards something/someone
else.
-
Our Dhikr (Remembrance
of Allah): Wasted, because it does not effect us or our hearts.
Confidence,
Trust
& Hope
Confidence:
Once
all village people decided to pray for rain. On the day of prayer all
people gathered and only one boy came with an Umbrella...... that's
confidence.
Trust:
Trust
should be like the feeling of a one year old baby when you throw him in
the air, he laughs..... because he knows you will catch him.
Hope:
Every night we go to bed, we have no assurance to get up alive in the
next morning but still you have plans for the coming day.
Keep confidence; Trust others
and never lose Hope.

Shocking Realities
-
People lose their health to make money and then lose their money to
restore their health.
-
A rich person is not one who has the most, but is one who needs the
least.
-
People get bored with their
childhood, they rush to grow up, and then long to be children again.
-
People live as if they will never
die, they forget the present, and die as though they had never lived.

Some Learning
-
Learn that
it is not enough that people forgive one another but they must also
forgive themselves.
-
Learn that
there are people who love them dearly, but simply do not yet know how to
express or show their feelings.
-
Learn that
it only takes a few seconds to open profound wounds in those they love,
and it can take many years to heal them.
-
Learn that
is not good to compare themselves to others.
-
Learn that
there are people who love you dearly, but simply do not yet know how to
express or show their feelings.
-
Remember the
five simple rules to be happy:
1. Free your heart from hatred.
2. Free your mind from worries.
3. Live simply.
4. Give more.
5. Expect less.

Take Time to Pray...
(a poem)
I got up
early one morning and rushed right into the day;
I had so much to accomplish, That I didn’t have time to pray.
Problems just tumbled about me,
and heavier came each task.
“Why doesn’t God help me?” I wonder. He answered, “You didn’t ask”.
I wanted to see joy & beauty,
but the day toiled on, gray & bleak;
I wonder why God didn’t show me. He said, ”But you didn’t seek”.
I tried to come into God’s presence; I used all my keys at the lock.
God gently & lovingly chided, “My child, you didn’t knock”.
I woke up early this morning, And paused before entering the day;
I had so much to accomplish that I had to take time to pray.

Real Losses
He, who loses money,
loses much
He, who loses a friend, loses much more
He, who loses FAITH, loses ALL.
Money is
lost nothing is lost; Courage is lost much is lost;
Honour is lost most is lost; Soul is lost all is lost.

Take Time to Act Upon
Take
time to laugh - It is the music of the soul
Take
time to think - It is the source of power
Take
time to play - It is the source of perpetual youth.
Take
time to read - It is the fountain of wisdom
Take
time to pray - It is the greatest power on earth
Take
time to be friendly - It is the road to happiness
Take
time to give - It is too short a day to be selfish
Take
time to work - It is the price of success
Take
time to love and be loved - It is a God-given privilege |
Why prayers are
not accepted?
One day, a person went
to an Islamic scholar and asked, "Why not our prayers (dua'as) been
accepted?"
The scholar answered, "This is because we do not pray for others for the
same things as we pray for ourselves." Let us behave as real Muslims and
pray for others the way we pray for ourselves. May God accept our dua's.
Ameen!
To Realize the Time
To realize...
the value
of ten years...
Ask a newly divorced couple.
the value of four years...
Ask a graduate.
the
value of one year...
Ask a student who has failed a final exam.
the
value of nine months...
Ask a mother who gave birth to a still born.
the
value of one month...
Ask a mother who has given birth to a premature baby. |
the
value of one week...
Ask an editor of a weekly newspaper.
the
value of one hour...
Ask the lovers who are waiting to meet.
the
value of one minute...
Ask a person who has missed the train, bus or plane.
the
value of one-second...
Ask a person who has just survived an accident
the
value of one millisecond...
Ask the person who has won a silver medal in the Olympics |
Just Compare the instances..
Why a Jew can
grow his beard in order to practice his faith
But when
Muslim does the same, he is an extremist and terrorist!
Why a nun
can be covered from head to toe in order to devote herself to God
But when
Muslimah does the same she's oppressed
When a
western women stays at home to look after her house and kids she is
respected because of sacrificing herself.
But when
a Muslim woman does so by her will, they say, "she needs to be liberated"!
Any girl
can go to university wearing what she wills and have her rights and freedom?
But when
Muslimah wears a Hijab they prevent her from entering her university!
When a
child dedicates himself to a subject he has potential
But when
he dedicates himself to Islam he is hopeless!
When a
Christian or a Jew kills someone religion is not mentioned,
But when
Muslim is charged with a crime, it is Islam that goes to trial!
When
someone sacrifices himself to keep others alive, he is noble and all respect
him.
But when
a Palestinian does that to save his son from being killed, his brother's arm
being broken, his mother being raped, his home being destroyed, and his
mosque being violated -- He gets the title of a terrorist! Why? Because he
is a Muslim!
